Rio is not only a Service Dog, but a best friend.

– Marine Veteran, Allen

The pure unconditional love these Service Dogs bring to us Warriors is exactly what we need to help us get through our darkness.

I just couldn’t see anything good happening. But then Cameo came along, and she finally gave me a win. She will continue to change my life for the better forever.

Warrior and Service Dog

Having Eagle has helped to minimize my anxiety and hypervigilance when out in public settings. Eagle helps redirect my attention to him rather than the setting I am in.

Warrior and Service Dog

I had been medically retired from the Marine Corps. I was struggling. I was on 24 pills a day, the pills were killing me. There is a way out besides the pills, besides suicide, there’s light. K9s For Warriors saves two lives. They save shelter dogs, and they save Veterans lives.

Donate a Future Service Dog

Donate a K9 to potentially become a future Service Dog to a Veteran in need. Whether you have an eight to twelve week old puppy or an eleven month old to four year old dog, your donation is greatly appreciated.

Donate a Puppy

We are grateful when people donate a large breed puppy to K9s For Warriors, giving them a bigger purpose. When owners and/or breeders offer puppies for our program, we conduct a preliminary phone screening, followed by a hands-on evaluation to ensure they are a suitable fit.

K9s For Warriors gives consideration to many factors, including:

  • Sociability, trainability, confidence and a willingness
    to work
  • Calm temperament
  • Eight to twelve week old puppies only
  • When full grown, the dog measures at least 22 inches tall (from the floor to the top of the shoulders) and at least 50 pounds
  • In good health, with a full record of health history including proof of genetic testing and hip evaluation on dam & sire
