Donate a K9 to potentially become a future Service Dog to a Veteran in need. Whether you have an eight to twelve week old puppy or an eleven month old to four year old dog, your donation is greatly appreciated.

Donate a Puppy
We are grateful when people donate a large breed puppy to K9s For Warriors, giving them a bigger purpose. When owners and/or breeders offer puppies for our program, we conduct a preliminary phone screening, followed by a hands-on evaluation to ensure they are a suitable fit.
K9s For Warriors gives consideration to many factors, including:
- Sociability, trainability, confidence and a willingness
to work - Calm temperament
- Eight to twelve week old puppies only
- When full grown, the dog measures at least 22 inches tall (from the floor to the top of the shoulders) and at least 50 pounds
- In good health, with a full record of health history including proof of genetic testing and hip evaluation on dam & sire
Donate a Dog
Donating a dog to K9s For Warriors provides the opportunity for your four-legged pup to potentially become a Service Dog for a Veteran in need – a lifeline. When owners and/or breeders offer dogs for our program, we conduct a preliminary phone screening, followed by a hands-on evaluation to ensure they are a suitable fit.
K9s For Warriors gives consideration to many factors, including:
- Sociability, trainability, confidence and a willingness
to work - Food or touch motivated
- Friendly demeanor & temperament
- One to four year old dogs only
- At least 22 inches tall (from the floor to the top of the shoulders) and at least 50 pounds
- In good health, with a full record of health history
Does Your Future Hero Qualify?
We believe that the health and temperament of an individual K9, not a specific breed, determines how suitable the animal may be for Service Dog work. However, we do not accept certain breeds, as public perception may work against our goal of fully integrating our Warrior graduates back into society and their communities.
