K9s For Warriors hosts Salute to Heroes 2023

February 24, 2023 | Ponte Vedra, FL – The TPC Clubhouse came to life as the K9s team hustled to create a memorable night at the first-ever Salute to Heroes – K9s For Warriors Gala in Florida that raised over $260,000. With seven of our Warrior/K9 graduate teams in the room with us, it was truly an evening filled with emotional testimony and significant generosity from our donors.

The room was captivated by the story of graduates Joe & Eagle, Denis & CJ featuring his son David, and David & Doc featuring his daughter Keira.

Moss Creek Marines was the recipient of the Corporate Partner – Hero of the Year award for 2022 for assisting K9s with the graduation of Marine Veterans. Moss Creek donates $5,000 per Marine with a total of 120 graduates.

We were also pleased to award Mary Godley, Benefactor Hero of the Year for her efforts in supporting our mission. At the young age of 101, Ms. Godley made a very significant donation for our Mega Kennel expansion in 2022. She has been a generous supporter since 2012.

I am so blessed and humbled to be a part of the K9s For Warriors family, an organization dedicated to saving the lives of veterans and dogs. This past Friday we came together for an incredible celebration, and gave thanks to the many people who make this organization so successful. I personally would like to extend a “thank you” to all of the donors, supporters, staff, trainers, volunteers, graduates and everyone in between for saving my life.

Just wanted to drop a quick note that Julie and I really enjoyed ourselves at the gala - what a wonderful event! We got to meet so many people, from all points connected to K9s - truly a memorable evening. Also, from all the Moss Creek Marines, thank you for the recognition and award - it is very meaningful and appreciated. Onwards and upwards; Semper Fi.

Thank you, your team and fantastic supporters for a great event Friday night! It was fun, moving, and inspirational. We look forward to supporting K9s for Warriors and your honorable mission.

An amazing night TPC Sawgrass for the Salute to Heroes Gala. The work that K9s does is truly life-changing. Christi and I will continue to support their cause and we urge everyone who has a heart for veterans and dogs to look into their mission.

It was an absolute honor to attend the K9s For Warriors Salute to Heroes Gala. Thanks to the generosity of all of the donors and the hard work by the K9’s For Warriors staff, more veterans struggling with PTSD, TBI, and MST will be paired with their service dogs and on the path to living their best lives again with dignity and hope!

I love to be able to aid K9s For Warriors in their continual effort to find shelter dogs, and train them to be Service Dogs for veterans.
