With your generous support, we are launching a capital campaign that will allow us to serve more Veterans nationwide by increasing our housing and training spaces for dogs ready to save Veteran lives.
Our goal is to raise $1 Million to serve more Veterans, save more dogs and further our mission of ending Veteran suicide.

Every day in the United States, roughly 20 Veterans take their own lives and about 1,000 dogs are euthanized. Our innovative program, backed by scientific research, allows both the Veteran and Service Dog to build an unwavering bond, restoring a Veteran’s confidence and independence.
Right now, the need for a Service Dog far exceeds our capacity with over 350 Veterans currently waiting for their future battle buddy.
This capital campaign is not just about buildings; it’s about saving lives and restoring families.
Expanding our Capacity to Save More Lives
Expanding our Capacity to Save More Lives
As a part of our capital campaign, K9s For Warriors will expand its Davis Family Mega Kennel campus with the state-of-the-art Tom and Mary Kay Smith Kennel. Designed to significantly increase our ability to rescue, train and house Service Dogs, this addition will further our mission of saving lives at both ends of the leash. The addition of this kennel will create around 30 jobs at K9s For Warriors, benefitting the local economy.

This project will include:
Kennel Runs
Indoor and outdoor kennel runs will offer the dogs ample space for exercise, socialization, and enrichment activities — supporting their mental and physical well-being throughout training.
Food Preparation Area
A dedicated, hygienic food prep area will ensure all dogs receive proper nutrition and care. The space will support safe storage, meal prep and feeding for a growing number of Service Dogs in training.
K9 Training Pod
This versatile, indoor training facility will provide a controlled environment to work on obedience, task training and veteran-paired bonding, regardless of weather conditions.
Laundry Facilities
A commercial-grade laundry space will support daily cleaning of bedding, towels and gear, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our dogs.
Kennel Administration Office
This area will serve as the central hub for staff responsible for managing dog intake and care, training schedules, and veterinary coordination, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
By building the Tom & Mary Kay Smith Kennel, we will be able to:
Rescue and train more dogs, giving them purpose and saving their lives.
Serve more Veterans, reducing the wait time for those in need of a Service Dog.
Further our mission to end Veteran suicide, one Service Dog and one Warrior at a time.
