Support Our Four-Legged Heroes
Rescue dogs make our life-saving program possible. Your generosity provides these four-legged heroes with the veterinary care, equipment, and training they need to become a life-saving tool for veterans healing from service-connected traumas.
Sponsor a Service Dog
Whether our dogs are shelter rescues, or purpose-bred, they still deserve the same amount of love, care, and training to become life-saving superheroes. You can be the driving force behind a veteran’s life-changing road to recovery.
Your donation can honor a friend or family member, be given on behalf of a company or organization, or simply to support our veterans and Service Dogs. No matter which way you choose to support our Service Dogs in-training, you will be saving two lives: the dog and the veteran.
You’ll receive:
- Right to name a future Service Dog (name subject to K9FW approval)
- Regular pupdates on your Service Dog’s journey.
- Welcome kit to show our appreciation
- An invitation to attend your K9/Warrior graduation
Your $25,000 donation provides:
- Six to eight months of Service Dog training
- Shelter and love during their training
- Service Dog vest, leash, and other training materials
- Veterinary care

Donate a Future Hero
We are grateful when individuals show interest in donating a large breed puppy to K9s For Warriors. When owners and/or breeders offer K9s for our program, we conduct a preliminary phone screening, followed by a hands-on evaluation to ensure they are a suitable fit.
K9s For Warriors gives consideration to many factors, including:
- Sociability, trainability, confidence and a willingness
to work. - Moderate to low energy level.
- Ages between 8 weeks and 3 months.
- When full grown they measure at least 22 inches tall (from the floor to the top of the shoulders) and at least 50 pounds.
- In good health, with a full record of health history including proof of genetic testing and hip evaluation on dam & sire.

Does Your Future Hero Qualify?
We believe that the health and temperament of an individual K9, not a specific breed, determines how suitable the animal may be for Service Dog work. However, we do not accept certain breeds, as public perception may work against our goal of fully integrating our Warrior graduates back into society and their communities. Our K9 training team can answer specific questions you may have.
