A New Chapter in Care: Inside the New Duffield Veterinary Clinic at K9s For Warriors

This January, K9s For Warriors reached a milestone years in the making – the opening of our first-ever on-site veterinary clinic. Located at our Davis Family Mega Kennel in Ponte Vedra, Florida, the new Duffield Veterinary Clinic represents a powerful evolution in how we care for the Service Dogs who go on to change and save Veterans lives.
Rediscovering Holiday Joy: Brian & Tucker’s First Season Together

For Army Veteran Brian, the holidays used to feel more like an obstacle course than a celebration. After an IED blast in Iraq in 2009 left him with combat-related PTSD, the festive season became overwhelming.

Checking In with Our 1,000th Pairing

Ryan is a Veteran who served in the Army Reserves for more than 20 years. He was deployed in Iraq in 2005 and in 2006 as a truck driver. You may already know him – not just from being a hero, but for being the 1,000th Warrior to graduate from our program with loyal Service Dog Frankie, a Golden Retriever.
Justin Shares How You Changed His Life

When a Warrior graduates from the K9s For Warriors program, it doesn’t mark the end of their journey; it’s just the beginning. The Veteran and Service Dog become battle buddies, working together to mitigate the debilitating symptoms of service-connected traumas so that Veterans can live the life they deserve.
“Chas Has Allowed Me to Drop My Guard”

K9s For Warriors Commemorates 9/11 during 5th Annual Golf Classic

K9s For Warriors reflected on the attacks of September 11, 2001, with two special events. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our mission.
On September 10, three artists took the stage at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach for Country for Courage: a 9/11 Tribute with Chris Lane and Friends. Country star Chris Lane was joined by singer-songwriter Ryan Larkins and local artist Ty Love. The event brought hundreds of country music fans together for a good cause!

You Gave Dana a Way to Cope — Just in Time

Dana always knew he was going to be a part of the military. His decision was a natural extension of his father’s and grandfather’s time in the Marines and Army. His journey started in ROTC as a freshman cadet at Ohio University.
School, Service, and Second Chances

August means it’s time to go back to school!
Many of our Warriors tell us their Service Dogs gave them the strength and courage to achieve their goals. Army Veteran Adam accomplished his goal of finishing school with Mojo by his side.
